Nana, on the other hand, has a wider scope of focus, looking more at the struggles of interpersonal relationships, rather they be as friends or lovers, and the trappings of newfound independence for a young adult.ĭespite this difference, both series are relatively similar. Both are good but not really what Im looking for. I tried the 2 most recommended on MAL, the place further than the universe and kuzu no honkai. Kuzu No Honkai (Scum's Wish) aims to rip apart the hollow pursuit of a perfect teenage love, and thus the majority of the focus is on romantic relationships. Tried to find something similar but to no avail.

The manga features a bunch of extras involving cats or cat-like people. Both Mugi and Hanabi have hopeless crushes on someone else, and they are only dating each other to soothe their loneliness. However, outsiders don't know of the secret they share. Both series are deeply rooted in drama that's edging on the verge of melodrama. I have seen neither the Kuzu no Honkai anime nor the drama CDs, so Im basing this answer on my recollection of the manga. Seventeen-year-old Mugi Awaya and Hanabi Yasuraoka appear to be the ideal couple.
